ME/CFS Long COVID

One of the highlights of my time in the Netherlands thus far was spending a few wonderful days with Dr. Bob van Heukelom and his beautiful wife Hennie over the weekend.

Dr. Bob is currently writing a scientific book that not only expresses our shared concerns regarding the ongoing ME/CFS and Long COVID epidemic in the Netherlands, but also explores his own hypotheses regarding the origins of these conditions—ideas that, in many respects, align closely with my own observations and experiences.

I am deeply honoured that Dr. Bob has chosen to dedicate several chapters of the book to Ken Ware NeuroPhysics Therapy (NPT), discussing the outcomes that have been achieved with ME/CFS and Long COVID sufferers through the application of NPT protocols.

The book aims to encourage the medical community to view these conditions through a different lens and, consequently, to consider new possibilities in how patients are understood and treated. Equally important, it seeks to inspire hope among those living with these often-devastating conditions by demonstrating that meaningful improvement may be possible when the right conditions for change are established.

During my visit, we also shared some memorable moments on the banks of the Rhine River. Of course, I couldn’t resist getting my hands wet in the famous waters of the Rhine.
